# Moneda MarketBench leaderboard

Questions about the market as a whole rather than one company: breadth and participation, sector moves and fund flows, why an index moved, exchange hours and holidays, and event calendars and instruments across the US, Europe and Latin America.

First results coming. Answer keys come from one frozen market day per release, checked against a second source before the snapshot is frozen. Base models answer through the same reference agent and tool kit; products answer live in the same two-hour window. Errors are tagged (stale data, wrong venue, wrong currency, wrong calendar) and the tagging scheme is published.
Scores are never combined across benchmarks. Each row names its metric, source and date.

## About this benchmark

- Maker: Moneda (Germany)
- Year: 2026
- Use case: Live financial market data
- Size: 250 items in five groups of 50
- Public split: A public sample of about 1 item in 10; the rest is a private test set, the only one ranked
- Grading: Code against a frozen, dated market snapshot for numbers, calendars, venues and currencies. A rubric for move attribution that rewards a real, dated cause, penalises invented ones and accepts "no clear single cause" when that is true.
- Licence: Items CC BY 4.0, harness MIT
- Submission: Open harness at release
- Products allowed: Yes
- What it does not cover: Single-company research, filings and anything that needs an opinion about what to buy.
- Status: Moneda Bench, first results coming
- Method: Answer keys come from one frozen market day per release, checked against a second source before the snapshot is frozen. Base models answer through the same reference agent and tool kit; products answer live in the same two-hour window. Errors are tagged (stale data, wrong venue, wrong currency, wrong calendar) and the tagging scheme is published.
